Brow lift surgery in Turkey

A brow lift is a surgical procedure designed to adjust the position and shape of the eyebrows in relation to the eyes and forehead.

It is not only an anti-ageing procedure.

Some patients naturally have lower or flatter brows and consider surgery at a younger age because they would prefer a slightly higher or more defined brow position. Others are mainly interested in lifting the outer part of the brow to create a more open and refined appearance around the eyes.

For older patients, brow position may also change gradually as the forehead and surrounding tissues age.

At EsteTurkey Group in Istanbul, the aim is not simply to lift the eyebrows higher. Brow shape, position, facial proportions and the amount of change you want are considered together to create a result that remains balanced with your natural features.

What can a brow lift change?

Brow lift surgery can be planned very differently from one patient to another.

Depending on your anatomy and goals, it may be used to:

  • Slightly elevate the outer brow or brow tail
  • Reposition naturally low-set brows
  • Create a more open appearance around the eyes
  • Improve brow shape and position
  • Improve certain types of brow asymmetry
  • Restore brow position that has descended with ageing
  • Improve the relationship between the brows, eyes and forehead

Some patients want only a subtle change in the outer brow. Others require repositioning across a larger part of the brow.

This difference is important because a brow lift should not automatically mean a dramatically raised or “surprised” eyebrow.

Brow lift for younger patients

Brow lift surgery is often associated with facial ageing, but age alone does not determine whether someone may be suitable for the procedure.

Younger patients may consider brow lift surgery because of their natural brow position rather than age-related descent.

For example, someone may naturally have a relatively low or flat outer brow and want a subtle elevation of the brow tail. Another patient may have asymmetry between the two brows or simply prefer a different relationship between the brows and eyes.

In these cases, the aim is not to make the patient look younger. It is to adjust brow position while respecting the patient's existing facial anatomy.

The degree of lift is especially important in younger patients, where a small positional change can noticeably affect the expression of the upper face.

Who is a good candidate for brow lift surgery?

You may be suitable for a brow lift if you are unhappy with the natural position or shape of your brows, have noticed changes in brow position with age, or would like a subtle elevation of the outer brow.

Suitability is based on factors such as:

  • Your natural brow position and shape
  • The relationship between your brows and eyes
  • Forehead and hairline anatomy
  • Facial proportions
  • Degree and direction of the lift you want
  • Skin and tissue characteristics
  • General health
  • Previous facial procedures

The consultation is particularly important because even a relatively small change in brow position can affect facial expression.

What will my brow lift look like?

There is no single “ideal” eyebrow position that suits every face.

Some patients prefer a subtle lift concentrated toward the outer brow. Others may benefit from a more even repositioning of the brow.

The aim is to find a position that works with your eyes, forehead, hairline and overall facial proportions rather than reproducing the same eyebrow shape on every patient.

During your consultation, you can explain which part of your brow you would like to change and how subtle or noticeable you want the result to be.

Your surgeon can then assess whether that change is achievable and appropriate for your anatomy.

Will a brow lift give me a “fox eye” look?

A brow lift and a specific aesthetic eye shape are not automatically the same thing.

Lifting the outer brow can influence the appearance of the upper eye area, but the final effect depends on your natural brow position, eye shape, anatomy and the direction and degree of repositioning.

If your goal is a subtle elevation of the outer brow, this should be discussed specifically during your consultation rather than assuming that every brow lift produces the same appearance.

The surgical plan should be based on your facial proportions rather than a standardised trend or eyebrow shape.

What is an endoscopic brow lift?

An endoscopic brow lift uses several relatively small incisions, generally positioned within the hair-bearing scalp.

Through these incisions, the surgeon can access and reposition the underlying tissues of the forehead and brow.

It can be an appropriate technique for certain patients, but it is not automatically the best option for every brow shape or desired result.

The choice of technique should depend on the patient's anatomy and the type of brow repositioning required.

Brow lift vs upper blepharoplasty

Brow lift and upper blepharoplasty are different procedures.

A brow lift changes the position of the eyebrow.

Upper blepharoplasty addresses excess skin and tissue of the upper eyelid.

A young patient who wants the outer brow positioned slightly higher, for example, does not necessarily have an upper eyelid problem at all.

In other patients, brow position and excess eyelid skin may both contribute to their concern.

For this reason, the brow and eyelid should be assessed separately rather than assuming that heaviness around the eye automatically requires one particular operation.

Will I look surprised after a brow lift?

A brow lift does not need to produce an exaggerated or surprised appearance.

That look is more likely to be associated with an inappropriate brow position or excessive elevation rather than the concept of brow lifting itself.

A subtle change, particularly at the outer brow, can alter brow shape without dramatically changing your expression.

The amount and direction of lift should therefore be planned specifically for your face.

Brow lift recovery

Swelling, bruising, tightness and temporary changes in sensation can occur during the early recovery period.

The amount and location of swelling depend partly on the surgical technique used. Swelling around the forehead and eye area gradually improves as healing progresses.

Many of the visible signs of surgery reduce during the first few weeks, although residual swelling and changes in sensation may take longer to settle.

Your surgeon will provide specific instructions regarding incision care, sleeping position, hair washing, exercise and your return to normal activities.

Your brow lift journey in Istanbul

Your treatment begins with an in-person consultation and pre-operative tests after you arrive in Istanbul.

During the consultation, your surgeon assesses your natural brow position, forehead, hairline and surrounding facial anatomy. You will also discuss which part of the brow you would like to change and the degree of lift you prefer.

The surgical plan is confirmed before your operation.

After surgery, your early recovery is monitored and you will attend scheduled postoperative follow-ups before travelling home.

Our team coordinates your treatment, transfers, accommodation and postoperative support according to your individual package and remains available after you return home.

Brow lift before and after

Before-and-after photographs are particularly useful for brow lift surgery because small changes in brow position can have a noticeable effect on the upper face.

When comparing results, look at:

  • The position of the inner and outer brow
  • Brow shape
  • Symmetry
  • The relationship between the brow and eyes
  • Whether the result suits the patient's overall facial proportions

Results should not be judged by how high the eyebrow has been lifted. A successful result may involve only a subtle change.

How long do brow lift results last?

Brow lift surgery creates a structural change in brow position, but the face continues to change naturally over time.

The longevity and evolution of the result depend on factors including your anatomy, skin and tissue quality, surgical technique and natural ageing.

For younger patients undergoing surgery primarily because of natural brow position, the purpose of surgery is different from correcting age-related descent, so long-term expectations should also be considered individually.

How much does a brow lift cost in Turkey?

The cost of brow lift surgery in Turkey depends on the technique required and your individual treatment plan.

A subtle lateral brow lift and a more extensive brow repositioning procedure may not involve the same surgical plan.

If brow lift surgery is combined with another facial procedure, this can also affect the quotation.

At EsteTurkey Group, your photographs and medical information are reviewed before an individual treatment recommendation and price are provided.

Start with your brow assessment

You do not need to know which brow lift technique you need before contacting us.

What matters initially is showing us your natural brow position and explaining what you would like to change.

Send us clear front and side photographs together with your medical information. If there is a particular brow position or degree of lift you prefer, you can also explain this during your assessment.

Our medical team can then determine whether brow lift surgery is appropriate and which approach may best suit your anatomy.

Frequently asked questions

Before your brow lift.

Ask us directly →
Is a brow lift only for older patients?

No. Brow lift surgery may be performed because of natural brow position as well as age-related changes. Younger patients may consider surgery to subtly elevate a naturally low or flat brow, particularly the outer brow.

Will a brow lift change my eye shape?

Changing the position of the brow can influence how the area around the eyes appears, particularly when the outer brow is elevated. However, a brow lift does not directly reshape the eye itself, and the effect varies according to individual anatomy.

What is the difference between a brow lift and blepharoplasty?

A brow lift changes eyebrow position. Upper blepharoplasty treats excess upper eyelid skin and tissue. They address different anatomical concerns and one does not automatically require the other.

How much does a brow lift cost in Turkey?

The price depends on the surgical technique, extent of brow repositioning and whether another procedure is performed at the same time. An individual quotation is provided after assessment.
